In the beginning, I simply wanted to create a space where I could teach and speak my truth. It didn’t take long for Thank Yoga Studio to became a second home, and the facilitator of an amazing community, I would describe more as a family.
It became something I could have never imagined, or put into words. Without much of a plan or a road map, I dove in head first. I learned and grew along the way. I made mistakes, I fell down, I got back up, and I kept going.
Eventually, I knew it was time for me to challenge myself in new ways, which ultimately meant to step away as owner. Although it was hard to essentially let go of something I put my blood sweat and tears into for many years, my gut told me it was time.
My dear friend and long time Thank Yoga instructor, Melissa Petty, is holding the space as the new owner.
You can find me traveling and teaching various workshops, trainings, and open classes. I’m dedicating more time to new projects that focus less on the physical practice of yoga, and more on the philosophy behind it.
“Thank Yoga” has become a mindset, a way of life. No excuses or expectations allowed, go after what you want.
